Hyaluronidase is an enzyme that breaks down and accelerates the biodegradation process of hyaluronic acid, regardless of its origin.

It is used to reduce the excessive amount of filler administered during a treatment using cross-linked hyaluronic acid. In this case, hyaluronidase first breaks the chemical bond (cross-linking) of the hyaluron molecule and then accelerates its metabolization.

The use of hyaluronidase is necessary in the treatment of complications after injection of fillers containing hyaluronic acid.

Hyaluronidase only affects hyaluronic acid and does not damage other skin components.

Mix the powder with 4 cm3 of physiological saline to obtain a liquid.
Prepare a solution from one vial and 4 ml of physiological saline. We then administer 0.1 ml to 0.2 ml to the area to be treated.

During the procedure

Accidental injection of filler into an artery or vein that may cut off the blood supply, leading to necrosis

After treatment

excess filler in a given treatment zone (overcorrection)
Use of an incorrectly selected (too thick) preparation in a given treatment zone, which may lead to tissue compression leading to necrosis
Too shallow application of the dense filler, which may result in the appearance of visible lumps on the skin surface
Filler displacement
Chronic swelling resulting from improper post-operative treatment on the part of the patient
Intolerance to filler based on hyaluronic acid

For information on dosage, we recommend that you read the leaflet attached to the preparation or consult a dermatologist.
