• Always use this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. If you are not sure, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. If you have previously used medicines containing sildenafil at a dose of 50 mg or more, the recommended dose is 50 mg. Otherwise, sildenafil 50 mg should only be used if the patient has not experienced the desired effect (i.e. did not get an erection sufficient for sexual intercourse) after using sildenafil 25 mg. If the use of a medicine containing sildenafil at a lower dose (25 mg) has allowed you to get an erection suitable for sexual intercourse, the 50 mg dose should not be used.
