What is Altacet and what is it used for?
Altacet is a colorless gel with a menthol scent containing the active ingredient aluminum acetate tartrate. The drug, when applied to the skin, has an astringent and anti-swelling effect, and at the same time relieves pain. The excipient menthol has a local cooling effect.
Indications for the use of Altacet:
Altacet is applied topically to the skin:
in bruises;
in articular and traumatic edema;
in swelling caused by 1st degree burns
Contraindications:
Do not use Altacet:
- if you are allergic to the active ingredient – aluminum acetate tartrate or any of the other ingredients of this medicine;
orally;
in case of extensive wounds;
on damaged skin and places on the skin with visible eczema;
on infected skin;
