Cingal is an off-white, opaque, sterile, single-use solution of cross-linked hyaluronic acid (HA) gel and triamcinolone (TH) hexacetonide (TH), a corticosteroid, as an excipient. Cingal is a biocompatible and non-pyrogenic substance. There is no physical or chemical interaction between the cross-linked hyaluronic acid contained in Cingal and the triamcinolone hexacetonide, because the micronized triamcinolone hexacetonide particles are suspended in the viscoelastic hyaluronic acid gel and remain in the product as a separate solid phase.
