OST Mini

A medical device in the form of an injectable solution. The preparation is used for intra-articular injections to increase joint mobility and relieve pain associated with osteoarthritis.

Composition

• 1 ml of isotonic solution (pH 7.0) contains 10.0 mg of sodium hyaluronate, sodium chloride, disodium phosphate, sodium dihydrogen phosphate, and water for injection.

Package Contents

• 1 pre-filled syringe of 10 mg/1.0 ml in sterile packaging.

Effects

• The effect of this product is based on the properties of sodium hyaluronate. This substance occurs naturally in joints, and thanks to its lubricating and shock-absorbing properties, it ensures normal, pain-free joint movement. Intra-articular injections restore lubrication, thereby relieving pain and improving joint mobility.

Indications

• OST Mini is indicated for pain and limited mobility of small synovial joints (e.g., the lumbar facet joints, the carpometacarpal joint of the thumb, the proximal joint of the big toe, and the temporomandibular joint).

Product Use

The device should be injected into the affected joint once a week, for a total of 1–3 injections.

How to Use the Medical Device

• Remove the pre-filled syringe from the sterile packaging.
  Unscrew the Luer lock cap from the syringe, attach an appropriate Luer lock needle (e.g., 18 to 25 gauge), and secure it by twisting slightly.
  Remove any air bubbles before injection.

Contraindications and Precautions

• Read the instructions for use or the label before use.
  Do not use if you are allergic to any of the product’s ingredients. If you experience any disturbing symptoms or adverse reactions, discontinue use of the product and consult your doctor.
  If in doubt, consult your doctor.
  Store at a temperature between 2°C and 30°C. Protect from light and moisture.
